Mt. Airy Farm in Upperville, Virginia

Mt. Airy Farm is a USDA Certified Organic Black Angus farm on 1,000 acres in Upperville, Virginia. They raise about 500 cows each year on 100% local Virginia grass for their entire lives. Cows have been grazing on this very land for over 200 years. This is the crème de la crème of sustainable meat.

No antibiotics are used on the farm unless an animal is sick (the cows we get are completely free of antibiotics), and there are no hormones used whatsoever. The cows live their entire lives on the pasture, just as nature intended. Forget about Kobe beef, this meat is LeBron.
High View Farm in Berryville, Virginia
Craig Hagaman raises some tasty chickens and pigs. Everything is raised on a pasture of natural Virginia grass that is never touched by any artificial fertilizer. His animals are fed non-gmo grain that comes from the same supplier used by Polyface farm.
The pigs are heritage breed Berkshires or crosses between Berkshire and Yorkshire. The egg laying hens are mostly Cinnamon Queens, which are a hybrid sex link and good producers–they are out on the pasture all year round. Most of Craig’s eggs go to restaurants, but the largest size (jumbo) are sold directly to customers.

Notting Hill Farm
Notting Hill is a small 60-acre property situated in view of the eastern range of the Blue Ridge Mountains two miles west of the Shenandoah River. The land is rich enough for row-crops, but scattered limestone rills make it better suited to pasture. Our primary product is the green grass that has made the rolling Virginia countryside famous for its yeoman farmers and exceptional forage. We get some beautiful grass-fed Katahdin lambs from Notting Hill this year. Yummm!

Two Spruce Farm in Berryville, Virginia
We are proud to offer some of the finest lamb we’ve ever tasted from Two Spruce Farm. These Romney sheep are fed almost entirely grass and supplemented slightly with organic feed. The lamb is lean, yet it has a delicate mouth-watering taste.
